Accessibility

Entrances

• Clinch Concourse serves as the main entrance to the building. It is located off Clinch Avenue. Clinch Concourse is located on the third level.
• Park Concourse is accessible via the Park Plaza Terrace. It is located on the second level.
• The Cumberland Turnaround is accessible via Cumberland Avenue. It is located on the second level.

Escalators

• 8 Escalators located between each floor.

Elevators

• 4 Passenger elevators located in Clinch Concourse, Cumberland Concourse, Park Concourse and Exhibit Hall Lobby.

Freight Elevator

• Door Opening is 8’H x 10’W. Cab size is 10’W x 20’L x 8’H.
• Weight capacity is 10,000 lbs.
• Entrance is external to Hall from loading dock.
• Elevator accessible to all three floors.

Stairs

• Stairs located throughout the building between each floor.

American Disabilities Act:

The Knoxville Convention Center is in compliance with accessibility as defined by the American Disabilities Act for wheelchairs and physically challenged. Elevators for the physically challenged are located in the Park and Clinch Concourse and provide access to all three floors of the KCC and ramping is available throughout. Bathrooms and phones located throughout the Center are wheelchair accessible. TTY phones for the hearing impaired are also located throughout the building. The external sky bridge located over Henley Street is also wheelchair accessible with elevator access. All entrance doors are flush to the floor and are compliant with current ADA standards.
