The 19th annual Knoxville News Sentinel Women Today will return to the Knoxville Convention Center this weekend, Friday through Sunday. Women Today celebrates the things women love, and men may get some insight to answer the age-old question: What do women want?

Women Today features activities for women of all ages, including crafts, fashion, cooking and so much more! This year the event features hundreds of exhibits with shopping opportunities and presentations on the “What Women Want Stage,” “Conversation Stage” and “Food City Cooking School Stage,” as well as the chance to win some great door prizes.

Women Today will host several television personalities this year on the “What Women Want Stage.” Dr. Lori, award-winning TV personality and host of Discovery Channel’s Auction Kings, will perform her appraisal show on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, NBC’s The Biggest Loser contestants, sisters Olivia Ward and Hannah Curlee, will describe their experiences and encourage women to get healthy.

Fashionistas, Women Today has something for you too! Fashion Sponsor Dillard’s will host Spring Fashion Shows throughout the weekend. The always popular Pet Fashion Show is returning Friday at 4 p.m. to showcase furry friends available for adoption from Small Breed Animal Rescue. A cute pooch is the perfect accessory!

The “Food City Cooking School Stage” will be full of presentations and samples all weekend long for all our Knoxville foodies to enjoy. We’re looking forward to hosting even more celebrity chefs this year! Heather Grubb from TLC’s Next Great Baker will share her sweet dessert recipes that will make your mouth water. As all moms know, meals that are fast, easy and affordable are an absolute necessity for our busy lifestyles, especially when we entertain guests. Food Network Star’s Martie Duncan will demonstrate simple, cost-effective recipes during her “Party with Martie” segment on Saturday and Sunday.

The “Conversation Stage” will focus on issues women care about from women’s health to decorating tips. Covenant Health’s medical experts will be in attendance to educate audience members on tips to staying healthy. Pottery Barn will feature home décor tips that you can use to create great spaces in your own homes.
