Kate Campbell

Catering Sales Manager

Kate Campbell joined the Knoxville Convention Center staff in December 2017. She oversees catered events by working directly with the Food and Beverage department. She also solicits, books, and manages Knoxville Convention Center events.

Campbell completed her undergraduate studies in Business Management as part of an accelerated cohort program at King University from 2010-2011. Additionally, she holds two Associates of Applied Science Degrees in Marketing and Management from Pellissippi State.

Most recently, Campbell was the Events Manager for the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, TN. During her 5+ years there, she booked and oversaw the execution of groups. She was also part of a collaborative team that executed the Museum’s six hosted yearly events.

In her spare time, Campbell teaches ice-skating at the Ice Chalet in Bearden. She loves perusing Garden and Gun magazine and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.

How long have you lived in Knoxville?

I have lived in the Knoxville area for 23 years. I was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, lived in Goshen, Indiana for a brief time and could not imagine calling anywhere other than East Tennessee home.

What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville?

My husband and I love to be outdoors! From hiking trails, to dog parks, to events in Market Square,– we look for every opportunity to enjoy the outdoor beauty of the city.

What is your favorite location in Knoxville?

Downtown Knoxville is amazing and has something for everyone. A variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, all within a reasonable walking distance of each other. My husband and I love to see movies at the Regal Riviera. The intimacy of the theater is something you don’t find everywhere.

What do you think sets Knoxville apart as a great city to visit?

Southern hospitality! The people of Knoxville welcome visitors with open arms and love every opportunity to show off their city.

What is your favorite part about working at the Knoxville Convention Center?

The people at the convention center have such passion for what they do and it shows! They take exceptional pride in executing each client’s event to its fullest potential. I am truly blessed with the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of people.
