American Flushing Spaniel Show

For the past three years, the Knoxville Convention Center has welcomed more than 700 canine visitors and their handlers for the American Spaniel Club (ASC) Flushing Spaniel Show. The Flushing Spaniel Show is the premier event for the spaniel breed in the United States – even bigger than the famous Westminster show in Madison Square Garden!

Knoxville welcomes flushing spaniels ranging from American Water, Boykin, Clumber and Cocker to English Cocker, English Springer, Field, Sussex and Welsh breeds. The dogs compete in several categories, including showmanship, obedience, conformation and rally. A “flushing” spaniel is a classification of dogs traditionally bred to assist hunters by flushing or driving out game, especially birds, from their hiding places.
