KCC-300x179You may have noticed a few more motorcyclists on the road than usual recently.

Wing Ding 33, America’s largest touring rally, held their annual celebration in Knoxville this year, bringing more than 15,000 Honda Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout the U.S. and Canada to town.

This was the fourth time that the annual celebration has been held in Knoxville, the last time was in 1990. And the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) members felt that this year’s event, called “Rollin’ on the Rocky Top,” was the biggest ever. I believe it, if the crowds packing the Convention Center were any indication.

WingDing33Logo-300x204Wing Ding 33 events and activities filled the Center. The Wing Ding trade show, which took up our entire first level, featured everything a motorcycle enthusiast would need and more. And our main level rooms were filled with seminars, meetings and other Wing Ding-related events. And there were more Wing Ding events at Chilhowee Park and all through town.

The incredible Light Parade, which started here at World’s Fair Park, featured over 500 motorcycles decked out in neon lights parading through downtown. There was also a Grand Parade that began at West Town Mall and wound its way through town to a celebration at Chilhowie Park.

Our Wing Ding visitors had a big time “on the Rocky Top.” And we were happy to extend a warm East Tennessee welcome. We hope we will have our fun-filled guests back in Knoxville again soon.
