How long have you lived in Knoxville?

I moved to Knoxville in 2001, so I have been here long enough to see how much our incredible city has grown! When I was young,we moved around every two-three years, so this is the longest I have ever lived anywhere.  Having been here so long, I consider Knoxville my true home.

What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville?

I love going out to eat! There are SO many wonderful local restaurants close to home! Thankfully, I also live near the Urban Wilderness where I can hike off all that good food! I also love attending events.  There is always something exciting going on!

What is your favorite location in Knoxville?

Gay Street is as charming to me today as it was the first time I saw it.  Perhaps even more so.  I love all the history that has been so perfectly maintained. It really speaks to me.  The old buildings each with a name, the Tennessee Theatre, the Bijou… it’s like a lovely stroll into the past.

What do you think sets Knoxville apart as a great city to visit?

Knoxville has the buzz of a big city with all the charm of a small town.  There’s never a lack of things to do, but you also feel at home everywhere you go.  It’s such and incredible gem.

What is your favorite part about working at the Knoxville Convention Center?

No two days are EVER alike!  We have the chance to experience people and events literally from all over the globe!  Not to mention, this building is beautiful!  The architecture and all the artwork in the building make for lovely lunchtime walks.
